Patty Durongwong Yang, O.D.Patty Durongwong Yang, O.D. completed her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from Southern California College of Optometry. Prior to completing her doctorate degree, she attended University of California, Los Angeles where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science. Her clinical externships focused on primary care and treatment and management of ocular disease in the Veterans Affairs hospital system in Palo Alto, CA; Las Vegas, NV; and Tucson, AZ.

During optometry school, Dr. Yang held several leadership positions as a American Optometric Student Association National Liaison, President of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and Class Vice President. She has volunteered her time at several local vision screenings such as Care Harbor and Special Olympics as well as a mission trip to Paraguay to provide eye care to hundreds in need. Dr. Yang also received the American Optometric Society and Vision Service Plan (AOF/VSP) Practice Excellence Award.

Dr. Yang loves baking cupcakes for the office, hiking with her husband, and finds peace in cleaning and organizing everything in sight.
