Our Whittier Location

We have been very busy here at Golden Optometric Group, working to improve your overall experience when you visit our offices. Our recently remodeled Whittier location offers an expanded selection of designer eyewear, and an additional examination room especially designed for the physically challenged. We also operate an in-house laboratory for faster service, and offer new technology like optomap® laser imaging to aid the Doctors in a more precise diagnosis. Experience the difference!



David B. Golden, O. D.

Dr. David Golden graduated with honors from Southern California College of Optometry in 1987. Prior to receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree he attended the University of California at Berkeley. He continues to be part of the Adjunct Faculty at Southern California College of Optometry and is a frequent lecturer on refractive surgery topics. Dr. Golden is a founding Doctor of Aris Vision Institute, a leading provider of refractive surgeries throughout the world. In addition, he continues to participate in clinical research for new contact lenses and solutions. He received his license to utilize pharmaceutical agents in the state of California in 1997.



Anna M. Pennino, O. D.

Dr. Anna Pennino received her undergraduate degree at California State University at Fullerton. She earned her Doctor of Optometry from New England College of Optometry. Dr. Pennino participated in a clinical research study evaluating the ocular side-effects of a cholesterol lowering medication. She obtained her therapeutic license in the state of Texas in 1991 and in the state of California in 1998.



Kristine M. Kobayashi, O. D.

Dr. Kris Kobayashi completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Kobayashi has specialized training in low vision and hospital-based optometry. She obtained her license to utilize pharmaceutical agents in the state of California in 1997.



Fanny Lee, O.D.

Dr. Fanny Lee graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree at U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry in 2001 and is TPA certified in California. Her volunteer efforts include participating in the Collaborative Longitudinal Evaluation of Keratoconus (CLEK) Study as well as providing care in numerous vision screening programs offered to school children, the elderly, and the homeless. Dr. Lee collaborated in a research study evaluating the progression of Age-Related Macular Degeneration after cataract extraction. She is co-author of the findings published in "Investigative Ophthamology and Vision Science."



David C. Ardaya O.D.

Dr. David Ardaya is a graduate of the University of Arizona where he received a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science. Dr. Ardaya was awarded his Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University where he graduated with honors. He has been published in "Optometry" magazine and has performed research on bifocal contact lenses. Additionally, he is keyperson-coordinator on the Orange County Board of Optometry, a member of the American Optometric Association, and the California Optometric Association. Dr. Ardaya is board certified to treat and diagnose eye diseases in California and Arizona.



Ivy W. Lin, O.D.

Dr. Ivy Lin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA, and received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from Pacific University in 2003. Since then, she has published an article on the Acuvue Bifocal contact lens, and is a member of the Beta Sigma Kapa Honor Society, the California Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. Currently, she is a board member of the Orange County Optometric Society, and is the editor of their newsletter.



Andrew B. Wong, O.D.

Dr. Andrew Wong received his undergraduate degree in Physiological Science at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2002. He then earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 2006. In 2007, he completed an optometric residency at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO). Dr. Wong is married to his beautiful wife, Karen, who is also an optometrist.



Debbie Warren, Corporate Manager

After eight years honing her skills as an optician, Debbie began her committment to GOLDEN OPTOMETRIC GROUP in 1976 as manager in our West Covina office. Since that time, she has expanded her knowledge of optics and business, and now serves as corporate manager for GOLDEN OPTOMETRIC GROUP. She still remains actively involved with patients on a daily basis, as this continues to provide her with the most challenging and satisfying experiences. Debbie is responsible for maintaining the uniform quality of care and service you expect from our offices.



Elsa Martinez, West Covina Office Manager

Elsa has been with GOLDEN OPTOMETRIC GROUP since 1989. Starting as a receptionist, she strived to expand her knowledge in the optometric field and soon became a qualified optician. Her continued efforts to exceed expectations and her superior people skills earned her the position of office manager in our West Covina office in 1997. She prides herself on customer service and enjoys working with our patients and staff
